Slave Lukarov is a Croatian cultural worker, filmmaker, and independent film producer, born in Lipik in 1972. He studied Architecture at the University of Zagreb, graduating in 1996, before turning his focus to visual culture, media arts, and cultural production.
He is the founder and artistic director of the Supertoon International Animation and Comics Festival in Šibenik, where he oversees artistic direction, programme selection, and festival production. He is also a co-founder and co-organiser of the Otompotom Association, through which he produces exhibitions, short and animated films, comic book editions, and international workshops.
Lukarov is actively involved in the Croatian and international animation scene, serving as vice-president of ASIFA Croatia and regularly participating in festival selection committees and juries, including Animafest Zagreb. Alongside his cultural and festival work, he continues to create and produce independent visual projects, films, exhibitions, and workshops.
