Roberto Paganelli is a curator, film educator, and cultural organizer specialized in audiovisual education and animation. He was born in Bologna, in 1968.
In 1987, he obtained a diploma in Industrial Physics and in 1995 a degree in Arts, Music and Performing Arts (DAMS – Cinema) from the University of Bologna. He has specialized in designing and organizing film-related events, as well as developing and conducting workshops and educational programs.
He leads workshops on visual language and the making of films. In 2005, he co-founded the OTTOmani Association and has since collaborated on more than 250 animation workshops for children, youth, and adults.
From 2010 to 2020 he has contributed to the publishing initiative for the production and distribution of the DVD series “ANIMAZIONI,” six collections of Italian animated short films distributed worldwide.
He also works as a film selector and coordinator with several international animation festivals, including the Piccolo Festival dell’Animazione and the Ribalta Experimental Film Festival.
